Common questions
Was Akoro called Acorn?
Yes. Akoro was called Acorn until version 2.4, and it’s called Nussi in German. It’s the same app, and your family’s data and purchases stay as they are.
Does Akoro hold real money?
No. Akoro is a record of what each child has. It doesn’t hold or move money, and there’s no card or bank account.
What’s free, and what does Akoro Pro add?
Akoro is free for one child and one recurring payment. Akoro Pro adds chores and rewards, savings goals, and unlimited children and recurring payments. Prices are shown in the app and on the App Store.
How do I restore a purchase?
In Akoro, open Settings and choose Restore Purchases, on a device using the Apple Account that bought it.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Apple handles subscriptions. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel it.
What happens if Akoro Pro ends?
Nothing is deleted. Savings goals stay visible and can still be edited and bought. Chores stay visible but read-only, and can still be removed.
Why aren’t my devices syncing?
Akoro syncs through iCloud, so each device needs iCloud turned on and the same Apple Account. Open Akoro on both and give it a moment. Two parents on different Apple Accounts can’t share a family.
Can I use Siri?
Yes. "Add Money" works for everyone, and "Tick Off a Chore" works with Akoro Pro. Both are also in the Shortcuts app.
